The Blue Wig aka 'You Can't Keep a Good Woman down' (referencing Nora Zeal Hurston) is a series of self-portraits on hand-made paper.
Kreuziger merges elements of figuration with techniques of abstraction to capture moods and states of mind. Making radical use of reduction and distortion, she is interested in the expressive potential of the figure rather than in the depiction of literal likeness.
These works were exhibited at BAR Gallery, London, UK, and at Galleria Bruno, Marburg, Germany.
